FRANK OWUSU WITH THE KNUST WATER💧 PROJECT

*THE KNUST WATER PROJECT

 A FRANK OWUSU INITIATIVE

I had a long conversation with the project lead of the association of pure and bottled water manufacturers of Kumasi. I engaged him on how our SRC would harness their partnership and support for KNUST's own produced water- a project I plan to do should I get your support to be the next SRC president.

Now, we are over 78,000 students of this institution. By statistics, if every students takes 2 sachets of water every day, it will total to about 156,000 number of sachet water every day. Multiply that by 30 days ( a month) and you will have 4,680,000 sachet water consumed by the students of KNUST. That's some power right there, and I want to be able to exploit that power to benefit students.

 _Now here are my key focus;

[BENEFITS ]

1. The KNUST Sachet water company will harness the skills and talents of students of Chemical Engineering, Food science, Physics, Chemistry Agriculture Science, Renewable natural resources and communication Design. It will bridge the gap between industry and classroom.

2.  A component of profit from sales of the KNUST water  will go into bursary opportunities to support students who face financial challenges in school.

3. Another component of profit from sales will go into EMERGENCY SUPPORT FUND that will help students who go under emergency conditions such as surgery and other urgent medical needs .

4. The KNUST WATER brand will project the school and the SRC and will defeat the idea that KNUST students only ' theorize ' and don't ' practilize'

I have worked out an implementation plan with my team by consulting key stakeholders and would-be partners.

Join us and let's make a statement.

It's me again,

FRANK OWUSU

AS YOUR NEXT SRC PRESIDENT.
