JUDE SABUTEY ALSO ON OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY [UPDATE]

INTRODUCTION OF POLICE KIOSKS OFF CAMPUS

A JUDE SABUTEY INITIATIVE

The attack meted on students at odd hours off campus is a canker that seems recurring and disheartening. My own friend, Roland Emmanuel who sustained an injury resulting from a robbery attack on him is one of the people who have inspired this initiative.

1. The SRC will arrange with the Ghana Police Service to gazette some vantage points off campus as threat zones.

2. Police men will be deployed to the threat zones at odd hours 9pm - 5:00am, as their permanent night post with police kiosks.

3. A robust night patrol team will be deployed between the hours of 9pm - 5:00 am to compliment the police men at post.

This initiative is proven to curb this security menace confronting students.

Your safety counts.

Join, let’s keep this charge!

A COURTESY CALL TO THE CHIEF INSPECTOR OF POLICE AT THE KNUST POLICE STATION

Date: 🗓️ 01/07/2021

In his quest to implement this major policy, Master Jude Sabutey paid a courtesy call to Chief Inspector of Police at the KNUST Police station. There was a fruitful discussion about how to improve off-campus security. Aside coming to a consensus about the relevance of police kiosks, the Chief Inspector added that logistics, more personnel and resources will be needed to make the security very tight. He concluded that all Master Jude Sabutey needs to do is that, after becoming the SRC President of KNUST, he should formally write to them to make this dream a reality.
