He is an Enactor.

POLICIES

Below are some of  PRINCE ACKAH's policies and it is dubbed A BRIGHTER DAY AGENDA.

A BRIGHTER DAY AGENDA, #1

Fellow students, it is my vision to empower you and set you up for success. For this reason, when elected as SRC President, I will push for the classes at the Central Classroom Block (CCB) to be made accessible to students at night. I believe this will greatly improve the academic performance of students. Try as we might, we cannot deny the fact that most students off campus do not have study rooms in their various hostels and homestels; some do not even have tables in their rooms for personal studies after class. Because of this, I would ensure, under the auspices of the Dean of Students and the schools administration that the classes at CCB are made accessible till 12:00am where tutorial sessions, prep and group discussions can take place during the week. The Central Classroom Block has ample number of classrooms and washrooms to facilitate smooth learning. Buses would be deployed to convey students off campus back to their places of residence in two hours intervals, that is, at 8:00pm, 10:00pm and 12:00am, making it flexible for students to leave at any time of their convenience until 12:00am. Individual students found engaging in any illicit act in any of the classrooms during these periods will be subject to suitable disciplinary action.

A BRIGHTER DAY AGENDA, #2

Fellow students, as your SRC President I will introduce “The KNUST Observer”-an online monthly journal under the hallowed cloak of academic freedom were students with sensitive regard for fairness and justice can write and speak words that penetrate the halls of power. This will engage the writing skills of students and give them a medium to air their views concerning issues on campus and on matters of national interest.

A BRIGHTER DAY AGENDA, #3

Fellow students, “Life is Art”, everything we see around us whether manmade or natural have all artistic features. I am of strong opinion that if Ghana would go further and standout among the nations in this world it would be through art and entertainment. It is erroneously thought that those who engage in artistic pursuits are people of low intelligence and did not perform well in school. Art is pure talent, a hidden treasure we need to unearth and encourage the youth to exploit if we want to see innovation and creativity in display. For this reason, I will, as your SRC President, organise an art auction and competition every semester to create a platform for student artists to exhibit their works for purchase. During these programmes fashion designers would also parade their stylish designs amidst breath-taking poetry recitals and music interludes from student artistes.

A BRIGHTER DAY AGENDA, #4

Fellow students, turning our attention to our colleagues at the Obuasi campus, when I am entrusted with the duties of the SRC President of KNUST, I will work with the leadership of the Obuasi campus to establish a library facility at Obuasi.
