 UPDATES ON THE GHANA CARD




The NIA has opened it's Registration exercise again at the NIA Headquarters at Shiashe in Accra along the 37- Madina road.


This second wave of registration is a little different from the previous one which was absolutely free of charge for every citizen. IT IS NO LONGER FREE.

There are now three Different Classifications:

●UPDATES 

●REPLACEMENT 

● FRESH REGISTRATION (Citizens & Foreigners).


 For Updates, that is if the name on the your card is spelt wrongly, wrong date of birth, wrong height etc. You Will be charged GH c30 for an instant fresh card.


 For Replacement; that is your Card is lost or  missing. You will need to report to a Police Station for a Police Statement Report. which is free; you only have to explain how your card got  missing.  Along with this police report you have to have on hand a Copy of the  Registration Form on which your details were recorded during the initial exercise.

The charge is GH c30 for an instant fresh Card. 


 For Fresh/New Registration,  For refusing to register for free during the past years (2018, 2019, 2020),  the charge is a whopping  GH c250 for a fresh Card. 


For those who have already registered but could not get their card, the Officers are there to assist you get your cards instantly. 

Please Note that in June 2022, if you do not have the Ghana card you cannot use your phone anymore  because the card is going to be used for your phone SIM.


Pensioners  should take this exercise very seriously because very soon  you may not get access to our monthly pension pay if you don't posses the Ghana Card.

  1. 250GH What!!!!! THis government ankasa i don't know ....A citizen failed to register Ghana card and you are charging a fee of 250ghc you are not serious

    1. Yes! I support that because citizens always tend not to conform to initiatives. Go and register for free you say I won't, what at all was keeping them from registering all this while, so now that is becoming useful if you want it you have to pay. Is as simple as that I like this punishment 😉

  2. For a fresh card 250 how I was in school and they didn't even come to register in my school I came home they told me they have finished I went to their headquarters and they told me they were going to open it again waaa see
