DEMONSTRATION LOADING--Aggrieved Public Sector Workers

 AGGRIEVED PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS-GHANA





The Aggrieved Public Sector workers intend to embark on an Industrial Action[DEMONSTRATION] for better conditions of services. They deem it an insult to be given only 4% increment as public sector workers. The sector writes a letter to the Ghana Police Service, Accra Regional headquarters.

FROM THE LETTER

"With reference to your response with Ref: 84/Vol.17/126, dated, 21 July,2021.

We the aggrieved public sector workers will like to notify your outfit of an intended

demonstration scheduled to take place on Wednesday 18th of August 2021 in Accra, at 8:00

am to 1:00 pm

Our coverging point will be Obra Spot, through Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, through

Adabraka through Farisco Traffic Light to Cedi House, Turn Left to AU. Roundabout,

straight to Parliament House.

Reason of the demonstration is to communicate back to government that the 4% increment

given to us workers is nothing but an insult to us Ghanaian workers.

This notice is to satisfy the section of the Public Order Act.

We are all in it together and together we must join hands to express our dissatisfaction

through a peaceful protest through the principal streets of Accra.

We expect not less than 1000 participants from across the country who will travel down for

the protest.

We count on your usual cooperation.

  UPDATES ON THE GHANA CARD The NIA has opened it's Registration exercise again at the NIA Headquarters at Shiashe in Accra along the 37- Madina road. This second wave of registration is a little different from the previous one which was absolutely free of charge for every citizen. IT IS NO LONGER FREE.
