"ELECTIONS CAN WAIT"- FRANK OWUSU

 SRC ELECTIONS CAN WAIT!!!

TO: ALL KNUST STUDENTS

 A FRANK OWUSU STATEMENT

What happened on the vetting day, the clash between some students , is a testament that our SRC has a lot of job to do.

I have stated severally, that it may not matter our hall of affiliations . That what matters is that we all swore allegiance to the golden Eagle of KNUST. That, we have a common mission of ensuring our SRC responds to the needs of students.

I ask that Fellows will charge in Unity and invest the energies into ensuring the growing needs of the ordinary student are responded to.

And of course, our SRC elections can wait. There are so many issues that are affecting students that need solution that require nothing less than emergency .

Yes, the SRC elections can wait !

But, what can't wait is the solution to the injustice meted out to the students who were sacked from the exams hall during their midsem because they owed fees.

What can't wait is the solution to students who have no idea when or how they will raise the money for their fees.

What can't wait is the solution to the hikes in hostel prices .

What can't wait is solution to off-campus security.

Of course, the elections can wait. But we cannot sit and watch when students are denied access to exam centres because they owed fees.

We cannot sit and watch when our students are attacked during exams period.

We cannot sit and watch when students need urgent medical help but yet help comes from nowhere.

The SRC elections can wait . But then again, the SRC is you and I. The SRC is for us and by us. It will take you and to make it work.

 Impossible is nothing

 Your friend ,

 FRANK OWUSU

 Ordinary Student of KNUST.
