Alan Kyerematen Donates to KNUST


The Minister for Trade and Industry, Honourable Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has donated 1500 bags of cement in support of the KNUST Christian Worship Centre.


The KNUST Christian Worship Centre upon completion would have 4 auditoriums, an Amphitheatre, vestry, library, offices, 2 chapels (500-seater each) and a multipurpose hall. It will contain counselling rooms, a secretariat, and accommodation facilities.

Honourable Alan Kyeremanten explained that apart from his sentimental attachment to the University, his primary motive of supporting such a good course is to assist in ensuring KNUST’s mandate of training young people who will provide transformational leadership to the country comes into fruition.

‘The core mandate of every tertiary institution is to teach and undertake academic research, but beyond academic excellence, it’s aspiration is to train ethical and morally upright leaders’’. He lauded the University’s initiative to build the Worship Centre.


As the son of Dr. Alexander Atta Yaw Kyeremanten, a former Chairman of the University Council, he assured the University of his continuous support together with his three siblings who are alumni of KNUST.


The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, on behalf of the Chaplaincy thanked the Honourable Minister for supporting the need to nurture morally upright graduates and allow students exercise their right to worship.


She appealed to him to use his influence to solicit for more support to aid the completion of the building.

  UPDATES ON THE GHANA CARD The NIA has opened it's Registration exercise again at the NIA Headquarters at Shiashe in Accra along the 37- Madina road. This second wave of registration is a little different from the previous one which was absolutely free of charge for every citizen. IT IS NO LONGER FREE. There are now three Different Classifications: ●UPDATES  ●REPLACEMENT  ● FRESH REGISTRATION (Citizens & Foreigners).  For Updates, that is if the name on the your card is spelt wrongly, wrong date of birth, wrong height etc. You Will be charged GH c30 for an instant fresh card.  For Replacement; that is your Card is lost or  missing. You will need to report to a Police Station for a Police Statement Report. which is free; you only have to explain how your card got  missing.  Along with this police report you have to have on hand a Copy of the  Registration Form on which your details were recorded during the initial exercise.
