  Vodafone Ghana Foundation Donates To KNUST Food Bank Vodafone Ghana Foundation (VGF) has donated food and assorted items to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Food Bank. The donation was held in a short ceremony at the forecourt of the J. Harper building. The items donated included cartons of milo, milk, soap, tomato paste, indomie noodles, toilet rolls, bags of rice, sugar, shoes, clothes, and other items at an undisclosed amount. Receiving the items on behalf of management, the Deputy Registrar, Legal and Welfare Division, Ms. Lucy Diawuo thanked Vodafone Ghana Foundation (VGF) for their support to ease the burden of students especially in this era of Covid-19. “The KNUST Food Bank was established to eradicate extreme hunger and ensure access to food by every needy student on campus”, she said.   MANAGEMENT OF UNWANTED CALLS AND TEXT MESSAGES  Accra, 5th August, 2021:  The National Communications Authority (NCA) in recent times has noted with great concern the spate of consumer complaints regarding the receipt and management of Unsolicited Electronic Communications (UECs), popularly referred to as unwanted calls and text messages. THE USAGE OF GHANA CARD TO COMMENCE VERY SOON            In line with the directives from the Government of Ghana on the new modalities for sim registration in the country, all stakeholders are hereby directed to comply with the new and only requirement for sim registration-The GHANA IDENTITY CARD. All  identity cards have been jettisoned by the government except the GHANA CARD [ECOWAS IDENTITY CARD]. As at now, over 15 million Ghanaians have been issued the Ghana Identity Card and still counting so this new modality is not expected to cut down work flow. For every foreigner coming into the country  for up to 90 days is expected to use their international passport for sim registration.
