JUDE SABUTEY ALSO ON OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY [UPDATE]

INTRODUCTION OF POLICE KIOSKS OFF CAMPUS A JUDE SABUTEY INITIATIVE The attack meted on students at odd hours off campus is a canker that seems recurring and disheartening. My own friend, Roland Emmanuel who sustained an injury resulting from a robbery attack on him is one of the people who have inspired this initiative. 1. The SRC will arrange with the Ghana Police Service to gazette some vantage points off campus as threat zones. 2. Police men will be deployed to the threat zones at odd hours 9pm - 5:00am, as their permanent night post with police kiosks. 3. A robust night patrol team will be deployed between the hours of 9pm - 5:00 am to compliment the police men at post.  This initiative is proven to curb this security menace confronting students. Your safety counts. Join, let’s keep this charge! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ JUDE SABUTEY, SRC 2021 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ A COURTESY CALL TO THE CHIEF INSPECTOR OF POLICE AT THE KNUST POLICE STATION Date: 🗓️ 01/07/2021           In ...

FRANK OWUSU ON OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY [UPDATE]

FRANK OWUSU ON OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY DATE:   14/05/2021   NO STUDENT SHOULD BE STABBED AND ROBBED!  A FRANK OWUSU STATEMENT We all came to school to study, to earn the knowledge, skills and the certificate to be able to make a living and contribute to society. We find ourselves in an academic environment in which the majority of students are found outside main campus. Students lives are mostly threatened especially during the exam periods.  Last semester, students were stabbed and robbed. Others almost raped. It was part of the reason my team and I took up the  LIGHT UP initiativ e to help brighten the dark corners of off-campus. But I want to believe the light up campaign wasn't enough, we still have to re-enforce the community watch dog group to help supplement the security efforts.  Now here were the challenges I found as I met the head of security ; 1. The watch dog have fewer men. Fewer men means they are enough to have their eyes everywhere o...

MICHAEL ABUAH’S TAKE ON SECURITY OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY [UPDATED]

OFF CAMPUS LIVES MATTER; MICHAEL ABUAH’S TAKE ON SECURITY  ðŸ“‹ DATE:   08/06/2021 We come to the University with the sole aim of developing our various potentials of growing up as citizens that will someday take charge of the affairs of our nation.  But in KNUST countless students have to deal with other troubles in addition to trying to grow themselves.  Campus security in KNUST is top great but same cannot be said for Off Campus.  There are no security posts, check points or even points of contacts when students are harmed. Yet still the SRC makes budget allocations for Security off campus.  To understand this plight we must go back to the Genesis. It is without unequivocal doubt that the school has an obligation to all its students. Ideally students need to be accommodated on campus but the logistics for this can only give a little above 15% out of a little above 70,000 students accommodation on campus.  This implies a huge chunk of students have to ...

TOP 10 RULES TO FOLLOW TO STAY SAFE

Unsafe surfing can also lead to other threats—from embarrassing personal comments or images that, once online, are nearly impossible to erase, to getting mixed up with people you'd rather have had nothing to do with. Here are the Top 10 Internet safety rules to follow to help you avoid getting into trouble online (and offline). 1. Keep Personal Information Professional and Limited Potential employers or customers don't need to know your personal relationship status or your home address. They do need to know about your expertise and professional background, and how to get in touch with you. You wouldn't hand purely personal information out to strangers individually—don't hand it out to millions of people online. 2. Keep Your Privacy Settings On Marketers love to know all about you, and so do hackers. Both can learn a lot from your browsing and social media usage. But you can take charge of your information. FRANK OWUSU AND MICHAEL ABUAH ON OFF-CAMPUS SECURITY

FRANK OWUSU AND MICHAEL ABUAH ON SECURITY OFF CAMPUS SRC PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS 21'  Both of these two SRC PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS, Michael Abuah and Frank Owusu have made statements on security off-campus. It seems that security off-campus is something they both are interested in. FRANK OWUSU and MICHAEL ABUAH might not be the only aspirants who have showed interest in off campus security but it is these two who are much more interested. Let's analyze what they have said about off campus security. 1.FRANK OWUSU-the first to speak on off-campus security ON SECURITY ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖  NO STUDENT SHOULD BE STABBED AND ROBBED! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖   A FRANK OWUSU STATEMENT We all came to school to study, to earn the knowledge, skills and the certificate to be able to make a living and contribute to society. DID HE ACTUALLY TRY TO TEMPER WITH THE SYSTEM???

Nobody as at now was caught trying to temper with the system. YOUR RESULT IS YOUR RESULT . What ever is declared should be accepted in good faith, if not the rules of the election must be followed and LEGAL ACTIONS be taken.   It is quite difficult to describe the situation in the COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES AND THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES.  Starting from the unexpected disqualification, down to the frightening moment of the voting process to extension of time and to the end of the process, some people are extremely happy while others are in pains and some also sympathizing with others. Its a clear unforgettable memory for the various candidates.  THE ELECTORAL COMMISIONERS ARE ALSO COMMENDED FOR THEIR EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN ELECTORAL DISCIPLINE. As the elections started and ended peacefully, we urge each and everyone to maintain same  discipline so that we can have a peaceful electoral season indeed.  #freeandfair #peaceful...

FRANK OWUSU WITH THE KNUST WATER💧 PROJECT

  * THE KNUST WATER PROJECT   A FRANK OWUSU INITIATIVE I had a long conversation with the project lead of the association of pure and bottled water manufacturers of Kumasi. I engaged him on how our SRC would harness their partnership and support for KNUST's own produced water- a project I plan to do should I get your support to be the next SRC president. Now, we are over 78,000 students of this institution. By statistics, if every students takes 2 sachets of water every day, it will total to about 156,000 number of sachet water every day. Multiply that by 30 days ( a month) and you will have 4,680,000 sachet water consumed by the students of KNUST. That's some power right there, and I want to be able to exploit that power to benefit students.   _Now here are my key focus;  [BENEFITS ]  1. The KNUST Sachet water company will harness the skills and talents of students of Chemical Engineering, Food science, Physics, Chemistry Agriculture Science, Renewable natural ...

FRANK OWUSU ASSURES STUDENT BUSINESSES OF FUNDING, SAYS HE WILL SLASH SRC EXECUTIVES AND APPOINTEES ALLOWANCES

I WILL SLASH SRC EXECUTIVES AND APPOINTEE ALLOWANCE BY HALF AND USE THE MONEY TO FUND STUDENTS' BUSINESSES I know this is a bold statement. I know I risk losing some supporters and team members because of this. I know naysayers will start their usual castigations. But I took my inspiration from the former President of Ghana, his Excellency John Evans Atta Mills (May his soul rest in perfect peace). He never took his Presidential salary when he was in office. He rather donated to the children's home, every month, consistently for the four (4) years he stayed in office. They say leadership is a cause and all other things are effect. They say the best form of leadership is democratic. But I believe the only form of leadership that appeals to me is Leadership by example. Every student pays an SRC dues of 35 cedis. Multiply that by about the 78, 000 students we have as an institution and we are clocking an amount of Ghc 2,730,000 in the SRC account every academic year. The question...

📌TIME WITH THE ASPIRANTS - IS HERE📌

TIME WITH THE  ASPIRANTS Already, we are in the political season for KNUST. Probably, we might have noticed or heard of students vying for certain political positions in KNUST, being it in a college, faculty, department, hall, the SRC and the others. As at now, some departments, faculties and colleges are done with their vetting process.   CAMPUS ARENA OFFICIAL HOUSE presents TIME WITH THE ASPIRANTS The "TIME WITH THE ASPIRANTS" is actually a journey changing program that is coming your way.  Apart from the presidential debate and the others, Time With The Aspirants will also go a long way to help the students to know their candidates better. The whole program will be in two sections;  * the hardcore 1-on-1 interview section * the talent show section In view of this coming program, CAMPUS ARENA OFFICIAL HOUSE humbly use this platform to inform all aspirants of various SRC portfolios to take note and get prepared for anything at all. Especially the SRC PRESIDENTIAL ...
